Ariston RD80 Hi-Fi Turntable +

This is an excellent solid turntable is fully working and ready to take your preferred arm. It will be supplied without a tonearm. The RD80 has a good quality motor and substantial main bearing and platter. I believe that the included tonearm board was originally fitted with a Linn Basik arm but be prepared to change this to take your preferred tonearm. The motor bearings have been lubricated and the main turntable bearing will have fresh oil. The plinth and all working parts are in good condition and the wood has some minor imperfections but only visible if you look closely. The plastic cover has two cracks in the rear near the hinges. These have been repaired. There are light scratches to the top. The hinges are working fine. There is plenty of information about these on the web, including how to improve the rigidity of the plinth and chassis. As it is, this is a fine turntable but it can really perform with sensible modifications. The first thing to improve would be to replace or reenforce and dampen the bottom cover.
